MicroLattice – Lightest Metal Ever

Boeing Corporation created the lightest metal ever, a micro lattice material that looks like a mesh or sponge. The metal is 99.99 percent air. Boeing describes the new microlattice as an “open cellular polymer structure.” It will be used mainly for sidewalls and floor panel for commercial jets. There’s no current timeframe when it will be ready for commercial use. From CNN Money.
