Microsoft Xbox 360 is coming to a store near you. Well, you’ll have to wait until Thanksgiving. It comes in two flavors: a base model for $299 and a souped-up version with a 20GB hard drive and wireless controllers for $399. Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Revolution are expected to be released next spring, but Microsoft has beaten both to the punch. Sony is still the market leader, but it will be interesting how Microsoft fairs by getting out of the blocks first.

Tivo for $50 only
Tivo has cut down the price of its lowest recorders to just $50. This is after rebate. You have to shell out $200 first and you’ll get $150 rebate check several weeks later. You’ll get at least 40 hour recording time on the Tivo unit. See article here and you’ll find the rebate here. I’ll say buy the cheapest unit and slap a bigger hard drive on it, although this requires a bit of knowledge of Linux.
9/11
Today is the 4 year anniversary of the September 11 terrorists attacks in New York and in Washington. Are we any more secure after 4 years? I would hope so, although I don’t feel we’ve made enough strides to make our country more secure. I would not rule out another attack. I hope we are ready to respond this time around and learn from the disaster of hurricane Katrina.
