Our DSL is down

Our DSL line at home is currently down. I’m online at a local coffee shop. It’s a complete waste of time trying to report the problem to SBC. They had us go through the usual troubleshooting procedures. We already knew it wasn’t the DSL modem, router or the computer.

2004 Computer

In 1954, Popular Mechanics made a prediction on how a computer would look like in the year 2004. Click here. It’s pretty funny. I like the printer, monitor and the gauges, but I’m perplexed about the double steering wheels. Maybe, its for feeling the Need for Speed.

Microsoft Offers Spyware Program

Shares of Symantec and McAffee are down 6% and 4% respectively when Microsoft announced the release of its anti-spyware program. The beta program will be offered free to help remove worms and viruses from computers running Windows XP operating system. Spyware accounts to one-third of the computer crashes on Microsoft XP.
