Last night, I finished the upgrade of my Linux box to Mandrake 10.0. The OS install was very straightforward and I didn’t have any major issues. There were however some minor tweaking needed during the install process.
I’m in the process of reinstalling Linux Mandrake on my box. It currently runs on Mandrake Linux 9.2. I plan to install the latest Mandrake Linux 10.0. Why reinstall instead of upgrade?
I have moved several components of my website to this site since I’m in the process of re-installing a newer version of Mandrake Linux to my old 400 Mhz machine. I would like to re-install because my old box has a multi-boot function which I want to remove. There is a Windows partition that is hardly used.
I just got a Tivo Direct TV receiver last night. Its pretty awesome. Now, I can record any program I want and watch it anytime I want. Big deal you say. Any VCR can do that. Well, Tivo does one more thing a normal VCR can’t do and that is control real live TV.
I recently installed an evaluation program on my computer. I’m not going to mention the name of the software here since I don’t want to give it anymore publicity that it already has from the adoring public. I decided the program wasn’t to my liking, so I uninstalled it.
