US Forces to Block Certain Sites in Defense Network
US Armed Forces will begin blocking a list of websites (see list below) from the US Department of Defense network (NIPRNET). The exclusion of the so-called recreational websites according to US Commander General Bell will preserve bandwidth critical to the operational activities of the US Armed Forces. The banned sites only affect DoD computers on the DoD network. It was stressed that soldiers are free to access these sites on their personal computers on ISPs outside of the DoD network.
List of Blocked Websites:
youtube.com, 1.fm, photobucket.com, myspace.com, live365.com, hi5.com, metacafe.com, mtv.com, ifilm.com, blackplanet.com, stupidvideos.com and filecabi.com.
Many, including myself understand the reasoning behind the blockage of such sites, but you can’t help but think if this is another opportunity for military censorship.
Poll:
Bill clinton or is it brian albright?George bush or glenn loveless?Have any of the people in the armed forces use police officers as target’s?Tell Doug albright at the air base in indiana or where ever he lives my cousin to fuck off and eat shit and die.And his scum kids.
Needs to be blocked because of serious content with students.
