Twenty seven year old Robert Alan Soloway is accused of hijacking hundreds of (zombie) computers and using them to send out millions of spam emails. Soloway is in a whole heap of trouble being charged for mail fraud, wire fraud, e-mail fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering. Authorities are trying to regain $773,000 he made from his businesses. If convicted, he could face up to 60 years in prison.

Spam is a nuisance. Maybe, more than a nuisance. Just look at these statistics. 40% of emails are spam. 12.4 billion spam emails are sent everyday. It cost US corporations $9 billion dollars in 2002 alone. Incredible! Truly is the scourge of the internet. That and porn.

What a relief! I thought I was hallucinating everytime I lost my technorati tags after a comment is made. I wasn’t. It really was disappearing. I had to repost the tags to make sure it doesn’t get removed from Technorati pages. Apparently, there’s a fix for Bunny’s Technorati Tag available since Feb 1. It serves me right for noticing things. By the way, I use Technorati tags heavily to generate a little bit of traffic to my site. All is well in the blog kingdom.
