Surfing the net contains no sharks, no rocks, no wipe outs, no drowning and no risks of hitting your head on your surfboard. But, surfing the internet is not entirely a secure experience. As a rule of thumb, never make any online purchases or access your banking account when online on a public hotspot. Anyone with a monitoring software can view an unsecure wireless network.
