Prison Break

I have downloaded the first 14 episodes of Prison Break Season 1 from iTunes. It’s being aired locally by the Fox Broadcasting Company on Channel 2 here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I must admit, I’m hooked to the show. It’s a great story with great characters and with great actors. A very intriguing story with cliff-hangers at the end of every show. Well, I’m done downloading from iTunes at the moment until Apple and Fox can fix the problem.

It turns out there are a couple of missing episodes from iTunes. Episode 14 End of the Tunnel is the same as Episode 15 The Rat. So, I have essentially paid for the same episode twice. It’s no big deal, it’s only $1.99 per episode, but Apple should fix it. I also learned from a couple of forums that Episode 15 By the Skin and the Teeth is also missing and all subsequent episodes are out of order and mislabeled.

Now, I’m reluctant to buy any further. The problem has been reported by downloaders since September 10, 2006 and the problem hasn’t been fixed since. So, I’m stuck at the moment wondering what should I do. I might just go over to Amazon and buy the whole CD Set of Season 1 for just $36 bucks. It might be the better option considering there is still no fix in iTunes. Needless to say, I’m very disappointed with Apple’s iTunes.

Season 2 is currently showing. I missed all of Season 1 last year. That’s why I’m a little lost watching any of the current episodes. I’ll try to avoid watching any of Season 2 shows until I’m all caught up with the story. In the meantime, I have to get my hands on the remainder of Season 1 and all of Season 2 up to this week’s show.

  1. I just had the same problem with Episodes 14 and 15 of Prison Break. I was wondering if you have heard anything more about it since your post of last week. Thanks.

  2. Unfortunately, there’s no way of finding out whether they have fixed the downloads. So, I don’t know what to say other than maybe contacting iTunes support and demanding for the correct episode or your $2 back.
