News of the Day

Exxon Mobil posted quarter earnings of $10.49 billion, the second largest quarterly profit ever by a publicly traded company despite falling prices of crude oil and gasoline prices towards the end of the third quarter. Crude oil peaked at $78, but is now trading at $61, while gasoline prices have fallen to an average of $2.43 after peaking at over $3 dollars per gallon. It’s interesting that even when gas prices are down, Exxon finds a way to make money, a whole lot of money. How much more if gasoline prices were at its highest.

Oh yea, I was flipping channels and they were running re-runs of Friends and Cheers. I got a few laughs. I forgot about the game, if it wasn’t for those big bold letters on top of the screen saying, Game 4 of the World Series postponed due to rain. Oh yea, that!

You wonder how games are more realistic these days? EA Sports FIFA Soccer 07 is using new physics and data-driven engine to mimic player actions and playing styles. It’s funny how Christiano Ronaldo runs just like himself and that the US National team has trouble keeping ball possession. Some things don’t change.
