Top WordPress Ajax Plugins
What are the top two WordPress Ajax Plugins? In my opinion, it would have to be Ajax Comments by Mike Smullin and Ajaxified Expand Post Now by C.H. Weng. In a nutshell, both comments use AJAX or asynchronous javascript and XML scripting which allows for a more interactive page without the need to reload or refresh web pages.
As expected, Ajax Comments allows new comments to be displayed without a page refresh while the Ajaxified Expand Post Now plugin allows the “More” link to expand without a page refresh. To test both plugins, just click on the “More” link below as well as place a comment to this post.
Both plugins are unobtrusive and works seamlessly with WordPress. It integrates well with most themes. At the very least, I have tested it with the WordPress Default, Ocadia and the Black-Letterhead themes. In my opinion, it should be added as part of future WordPress distributions. It’s that good!

i don’t know why but the ajaxified expand now doesn’t seem to work… perhaps it interacts strangely with my template (hemingway)
Alin, the ajaxified expand now plugin only works within the wordpress loop, but not in single page mode. I’m not familiar with the Hemingway Theme, so that could be the cause of the problem.
Very nice implementation, hopefully this kind of developments get noticed by the WP guys and are added as stardad feature.

Flavien, the Ajaxified Expand Post Now only works in the WordPress loop, but not in the single page mode. Try downloading it and using it.
