Katrina Victims
If you are a Katrina victim, you are at the mercy of insurance companies who must make a determination whether your home was destroyed by hurricane wind or by flood. If damaged by flood, then you got it made. The damage is covered. If destroyed by hurricane wind, then you’re out of luck. Many investigations have inconclusive results. There are now reports of insurance companies cheating victims. Can it get any worse? A year later, it is still a disaster.
