I was in McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas, CA the other day pulling up into the BestBuy parking lot when I saw this flashing traffic sign on the road thats says, “Conceal Your Laptop Computer.”

I’ve never seen anything like this before especially on a public road. It took me several seconds to realize that there’s a lot of laptop theft in this part of the Silicon Valley. Well, at least in McCarthy Ranch.

I travel with my laptop sometimes. When I don’t have it with me in my backpack, it’s always concealed in the trunk and never in plain sight where thieves can simply break a car window and walk out with your valuables.

Just be careful out there!
