Sasha Cohen
I watched Sasha Cohen skate tonight in the Winter Olympics in Torino. Sasha was leading the field with just a few percentage points after the short program Tuesday. A good score in the long program tonight will give her the gold.
Unfortunately, Sasha had a disastrous start falling down on her first two jumps. The rest of her program was flawless. It was the first two jumps that cost her the gold. Sasha ended up in 2nd place with a silver.
Shikuza Arakawa of Japan finished in first place while Russian Irina Slutskaya finished in third place.
I heard John Madden joking around on the radio saying that figure skating is like boxing. If you fall, you lose. The last wo(man) standing wins.
