iPod Radio Remote
With over 4,400 songs in my iPod, you would think I would never run out of songs to listen to while at the gym. The fact is, we all have our favorite songs and we skip over the ones we don’t like as much. From time to time, there might be something interesting on TV we wished we can listen to via the iPod.
Well, for $49 bucks you can buy an iPod Radio Remote that turns your iPod into a radio reciever. The device plugs in into the dock connector. Once connected, just select “Radio” from the Main Menu and use the clickwheel to tune in to a radio station. The device is also comes with a remote control that allows you to switch the radio on or off, as well as adjust the volume of the iPod.
The remote control can also switch radio stations while in radio mode as well as skip songs in regular iPod mode. The iPod Remote Radio comes with the standard Apple earphones (slightly shorter) that plugs in into the remote device that weighs only 15.7 grams.
Now the reason I brought this up is that my original earphones that came with my iPod is now broken. The speaker on the right earplug has become distorted. So, it’s time to buy a replacement, but instead of another one, why not buy an iPod Radio Remote. It looks like I got myself convinced.

Not impressed with this accessory. Firstly, a radio? Surely the iPod is like having your own personal radio station. Secondly, FM and not DAB? Only available in white, too. What about all the people with black nanos.
This MacWorld announcement was overhyped.

I’m guessing you have a black nano. Hehe. I’ll be in the Mac World Expo tomorrow. I’m sure I will have further comments by tomorrow. Stay tuned.
