I just got a letter from United Airlines stating my Mileage Plus miles are expiring “unless I act now.” It sounds like every bit of dirty tactic to get me to spend more. Ok, here’s the deal. If I book a flight at United.com of $150 or more before February 28, 2006, I get to keep my 36k miles, plus I get 3000 more. Otherwise, my miles will expire.

What? I wasn’t planning on going anywhere, but now I tempted to check out new places to visit. Unfortunately, my 36k miles will not get me far, but good enough to get me to anywhere in the continental US and Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, the Carribean, and Central America. Costa Rica here we go again? I just came back in May, so probably not.

I’m not sure yet, but I’ll think about it.
