For two hours, I watched a JetBlue airplane circle LAX with a non-functional nosegear. The media coverage has probably made this the most publicized emergency landing in US history. I must admit I was glued to the TV myself. It was like watching a movie. Everybody knows the plane had to land eventually, but no one exactly knows what the outcome will be. The anticipation grew even more as the plane made its final approach. The landing was perfect without any incident. My brother even said, “the landing looked smoother than most landings he has seen.” I clapped when it was all over. Nobody was hurt. Now, we can turn our attention to Hurricane Rita.
