USA vs Mexico
Ok, soccer fans. The game you’ve been waiting for, a World Cup qualifying game between heated rivals USA and Mexico this coming Saturday, September 3 in Colombus, Ohio. It’s coined by many as the “El Classico.” It’s a game you simply can’t miss. Perhaps, the biggest soccer game in North America the past three years. Mexico and USA are on #1 and #2 in World Cup qualifying respectively. The winner of the game will qualify for the World Cup next summer in Germany.
The loser — can still qualify with just a win in the next three World Cup qualifying games. But, this is all about bragging rights. Mexico still leads the lifetime series over the upstart Americans. All in all, three teams in CONCACAF will qualify for the World Cup. A fourth CONCACAF team can qualify with a win over a fourth place team from Asia.
