Came back last night
I just came back from three days of snowboarding at Heavenly and Kirkwood in South Lake Tahoe. I did one crazy run, a double black or diamond called the “Wall” at Kirkwood. Lol. I didnt know it was that steep until I saw it on the lift. Nowhere to go but down.
I had to sit on the ledge to get my run started. I came out unscathed the entire weekend knock on wood. Yesterday, two of my friends and I went for a black diamond at Heavenly. We must have wiped out 5 times on our way down. Visibility was bad, but the run had so much powder falling down didn’t really matter.
The rest of the time I did mostly intermediate or blue runs. I made some adjustments on my stance that seem to help my turning ability. I plan to go again this coming weekend. Surfing has to wait until my shoulder heals up.
