Its the Patriots 3rd Super Bowl win in 4 years. They don’t win by much and they are not blowing out any of their opponents either. I think we reached the boring and worst era of NFL Football. Teams are so evenly matched nowadays that any team can have a shot of reaching the playoffs.

This year, an 8-8 team went into the playoffs for the first time ever. So much for parity and salary cap. I actually hate it. I long for the days when the NFL had 2-4 really strong teams. I long for Super Bowls where champions won by margins of 20-30 points.

Football fans want to see some offensive fireworks and not defensive struggles. I guess we just have to settle for fireworks during the half-time’s show and that’s without the wardrobe malfunctioning.

Some critics are considering the Patriots to be the best team ever. I don’t know about that. If you win 3 Super Bowls by a combined score of 9 points, there has to be luck involved in the playoffs and in the Super Bowl. I’m not convinced about the Patriots are the best team ever.

It does not however diminish their accomplishments. They are an excellent team. But, please the Greatest Team ever? You got to be kidding. They can use this post for their motivation next season, I don’t care, but that’s the way most people think.

The Patriots can only silence their critics if they can completely dominate their opponents in the Super Bowl. To me, that’s the mark of greatness. Watching the Patriots offense is like watching grass grow.
