AMD Will Compete with Centrino
AMD just took off the wraps of its latest processor, the Mobile Sempron. The processor is designed to compete with Intel’s Centrino in that it will target light and thin notebooks with built-in wireless capability and extended battery life.
Unfortunately, Centrino already has 82 percent of the market. This is good news to future laptop buyers in that, more competition would only drive prices down.
