Mozilla Use Doubles

Mozilla Firefox, a free browser has doubled its user base these past 9 months starting January 2004 to September 2004. The browser available from mozilla.org has gained popolarity due to two major features not available in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

The Mozilla features sought out by users are stability and safety. In fact, a day after I wrote yet another problem has popped up. Thousands of computer users have made the jump to Mozilla to gain safety while browsing the internet.

In another survey, Linux increased 0.3% during the same time period. The survey does not mention if the figures are related.
