I recently bought a PC game from EA Sports called FIFA 2004. Yes, we are talking about soccer, my favorite sport. What this means is that this software review is going to be a little bit biased. Hehe. The game is very addictive. I can’t seem to play just one game.

It is usually 3 or 4 games two hours later. Soccer games have come a long way in the last 10 years. FIFA 2004 is far from the real thing, but the game has flashes of brilliance. Players really look like themselves. They run and kick just like the real ones.

The controls are a little difficult and hard to master. I still can’t seem to get the players without the ball to move. A little 1-2 pass combination would be nice. I can’t do this at the moment. At times, my players are just standing there waiting for a pass. Really dumb players.

The crosses are not as accurate as I like it to be. The games can be dull because of the difficulty in scoring against teams like Brazil and Germany. EA needs to open up the game and have more spectacular goals such as diving headers, half volleys, bending shots, long shots, and individual tricks. The bag of tricks should reflect the players in real life.
