Went surfing twice this week
Finally got around to using my 6′4″ shortboard this week. I went twice to the Hook in Santa Cruz. I caught two really good waves on Tuesday and another two more on Wednesday, considering that Wednesday that the surf was epic. It was consistently head high surf for pretty much of the day with occasionally head high plus.
It was good just to get out after six months of hiatus. It’s amazing that if you don’t lose it, you lose it. My arms are so out of shape. There are a lot of good and aggresive surfers out there in Santa Cruz. There’s definitely a pecking order and they have a way of letting you know it. It was good just to get out there.
